T-Shirt Quilts

Have you been toting around a tub of t-shirts, move after move?

You know the one — packed with high school memories, team shirts, and college events. It’s time to take them out of storage and turn them into something you’ll actually use and love! At Bobbin Works, we transform your well-loved shirts into a cozy, custom quilt that tells your story.

How does this process work?

Step 1: Sort your t-shirts and book your custom quilt.

Step 2: Send your t-shirts (and possibly backing) by mail or drop them off in Bixby, OK.

Step 3: We’ll cut, arrange, and quilt your shirts into a cozy masterpiece using professional longarm stitching.

Step 4: Pick up your quilted masterpiece or have it shipped straight to your door.

Getting Started

Team up with Marie Kondo and gather your favorite t-shirts.

We create t-shirt quilts made from youth and adult-sized shirts that are at least 12 inches wide. If you're interested in a memory quilt made from baby or children's clothing, please contact us to discuss details.

Sort Your Shirts

Sort your shirts by making three piles:

Front Only
Back Only
Front AND Back

You can wash your shirts, but hide the scissors — we’ll do the cutting!

Keep It Stitchable

As much as we love sparkle and shine, our longarm quilting machine has its limits.

Please do not select shirts with zippers, buttons, snaps, sequins, or anything bulky.

T-Shirt Blocks

We typically trim shirts to 15" wide.

If you choose a grid layout, we'll make the blocks square.
If you choose an offset layout, we'll adjust the heights to match the decals on the shirt.

Customers' Favorite Backing

The minky backing we offer is a favorite for a reason! This ultra-soft, plush fabric adds a cozy weight to your quilt making it perfect for snuggling on the couch. Plus, it adds a beautiful textured finish that highlights the quilting design.
